Global leaders in teaching and research Goldsmiths begins work as our national delivery partner
Globally renowned teaching and research institution Goldsmiths, University of London has begun its role as Artsmark’s new delivery partner.
For over 20 years, Artsmark has helped schools to deliver better creative and cultural education by providing training and resources to help schools develop their arts provision. As the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, Artsmark currently works with nearly 4,000 schools around the country.
Goldsmiths is a research and teaching university with a national and international reputation as a hub for creativity, arts and culture. The partnership will draw on its expertise as a leader in teacher training to deliver a revised programme that will help schools embed culture and creativity in their work, and support the Arts Council in shaping creative and cultural education across England.
The revised programme will offer a mixture of online and in-person sessions, including networking and peer mentoring opportunities, as well as training to help schools develop a more effective approach to integrating arts, culture and creativity into their curricula.
Project delivery will be led by Professor Tara Page, who has over two decades of research and pedagogical expertise in arts education. Professor Page has extensive research experience into the cultural education sector in England, and in leading and delivering arts education programmes in the UK, Canada and Australia.
